Dennis M. Byrne, DMD, MS was born in Salisbury, Maryland and raised in Seaford, Delaware. He attended Lafayette College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine graduating in 1976.
He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corp and was stationed in Nuremburg, Germany.
Dr. Byrne later attended Loyola University of Chicago and received his certificate in endodontics in 1980 and a Masters Degree in Oral Biology in 1981. He joined Central New England Endodontics & Implantology later that year and helped to establish their office in Keene, NH in 1983. He was a clinical instructor of Endodontics at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine from 1981 to 1986. He is currently an associate clinical professor of Endodontics at the University of Massachusetts general practice residency program where he teaches the latest advances in endodontics to general dentists as they pass from dental school into private practice. He teaches when to send more complicated cases on to endodontic specialists such as we have here at CNEEI.
Dr. Byrne is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Diplomates. He is past President of the Worcester District Dental Society. He is also a member in good standing in The American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the New Hampshire Dental Society and the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Byrne lives in central Massachusetts with his wife Kathleen and their two sons, Ian and Brian.
